My first Indy 500!!! Congratulations Scott Dixon!

The night before the 500, we ventured down to 16th St/Georgetown.  What an experience.  It was insane there!  The crazys were definitly out.

RACE DAY

My very first Indy 500 was an amazing experience.  Thanks to Packy and Ellen, I finally went to my first Indy 500 race.  It was so cool to see those race cars go around for the first time!  We got to the track around 9:45 and hung out in the Wheeler's Performance Graphix garage and just people watched all morning.  We watched all the cars come and get fueled up before the race.  It was pretty cool to see everyone prepping and getting ready.  I sat with the Wheeler's friend Krissy from Orange County at the race. Olivia and Ellen were in the pits, and of course Packy was spotting.  We were so happy to see that Scott Dixon finally won the 500! (Next year is Tony's year to win it)  After the race, we hung out for a while in their garage then went to the Flag room at the brickyard with Casie to eat.  After that, we went to the turn 2 suites to celebrate.  We finally left the track a little after 9:00.  We went back to the Wheeler's, quickly changed and left to go downtown for the big party at 6.  We watched the race there and it was funny to watch certain people's expressions as they watched Danica after her car was hit.  The whole weekend was a blast and an amazing experience thanks to the Wheeler's!

Community Day at the track

Wednesday, Brian and I took Dylan to community day at the track.  This is the second year we've taken him, and will be the last as he starts first grade next year.  We saw Tony Kanaan, Scott Dixon, and Dan Wheldon's race car.  Dylan got to do the obstacle courses at the track too.  We saw Danica Patrick in the garages (no one was around) and one fan was following her trying to get her autograph.  Just as I had expected from her, she didn't see friendly or seem to appreciate her fans at all.   We kinda just watched as she tried to walk fast away from the 2 fans trying to catch up to her trying to get her autograph.  We did not try, nor did we care to try.

We both like Tony Kannan!

Time to go home....and time for some Mc D's!

Performance Graphix annual party

Sunday night, Packy and Ellen (Olivia's parents) hosted their annual customer appreciation night at The Winner's Circle.  There were Hooter's girls, Hooter's wings, but no Hooter's fire truck.  Just as last year, it was a blast.  Packy and Ellen always have fun parties along with their great friends and family.

My week in review

So last week on my two days off, I got to babysit Layne!  She is such a great and cute baby!  Her parents Andrea and Scott are lucky parents.  Also, my brother Tyler moved to Maryland for an internship this summer.  He'll be back in August.  So I also crammed in some family time along with my normal work schedule.  Check out the video at the bottom of Layne.

CHi-KAAAAGO!!

I was standing up on some cement thing so I could see Ellen

I was happy with my spot

These pics are really out of order, but oh well.
Here are the pics from my trip to Chicago to see Olivia and Ellen.  We didn't score any tickets, but got a good seat/view from across the street from the stage.  Steph and I visited Olivia's store in Oak Brook, and stayed with her at her cute little apartment in Oak Park.  It was such a cute town!   Saturday, Steph and I headed to the city to catch a glimpse of Ellen. Olivia had to work so she missed out that day.  During the taping of Ellen, Ellen showed a clip of her visiting Giordano's Pizza the day before.  Steph and I decided that was the place we wanted to go for lunch, so we went there after.  The pizza there was amazing!  YUM!!! Satuday was cold (48 degrees) and rainey all day.

If you look along both sides of the sidewalk, they are filled with people waiting in line to go to the show.
